By now, most of you have probably heard me and everyone else in the world talking about Blogalicious. It’s happening in Washington D.C. this weekend and thanks to my gracious and awesome sponsors, not to mention those who supported me through blog design, I’ll be there!! Thank you, thank you for all the bloggy love and support! I will definitely have several thanks and mentions on the blog soon! ;)
In other news, today marks the beginning of Univision’s Edúcate initiative to impact Hispanic educational attainment in the U.S. Some may remember that I blogged with Univision earlier this year about education. I will be participating again in this initiative and welcome your comments, shares and any feedback that you have to offer on the topic. It’s one that’s near and dear to my heart, and that I don’t talk about nearly enough lately, so you can expect to see more on this topic in the future.
Also coming up soon, Laurita of HoldinOutforaHero.org is raising funds for her local chapter of the American Spina Bifida Association. You can read more about it here and support her here! I’ll be writing about this in detail soon too!
Lastly, I didn’t add a #MixedVida post today, but I do plan to continue the series following the Blogalicious conference and once everything settles down. You can look for a new interview on Monday, October 31st…and thank you so much for all of your comments and support of these interviews! I have enjoyed learning more about other mixed families and how they balance both identities and cultures. It’s truly a blessing to have interviewed these amazing women! Sneak peek into the future…we’ll be having a few dads soon too! :)
Oh wait! One more cool thing! My baby girl is in a photo contest on the Juan of Words Facebook page! You can stop over and vote for her here and see her super cute costume! I won’t spoil the surprise, but she is most definitely adorable!
